Royal Chitwan National Park

 

Chitwan National Park is located in the middle part of Nepal which covers 932 sq. km. in the flat lowland region. Chitwan National Park is one of the best destinations of wildlife which has had a long history of conservation this gone for many years. In 1973 Nepal government declared it as National park; in the way of saving wildlife and their habitats the National park got the certificate from UNESCO declaring that the park is a world heritage site in 1984.  

The national park has been home of many endangered animals, birds and many more. The animals can be found in the park are 45 species of mammals including the Royal Bengal tiger, Greater One-horned rhinoceros, Wild elephants, 450 species of birds, more than 45 species of amphibians, reptiles and many kind of butterflies has made to chitwan national park as their home.

Jungle safari in the park is always a very exciting experience. Those can have a great time achievement here who is nature lovers; it is very accessible from kathmandu because of being well connection from highway. It is possible for any visitors to stay in the park and be involved jungle activities. Jungle walks, Elephant safari, Canoe ride, Jeep safari helps you to explore the park and wildlife of park.
